After breakfast, visit Mumbai’s Gateway of India and explore local markets. In the afternoon, fly to Aurangabad, the gateway city to the ancient cave complexes. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Enjoy a full-day excursion to the Ajanta Caves, famous for their Buddhist paintings dating from the 2nd century BCE to 650 CE. These 30 rock-cut caves contain remarkably preserved murals depicting Buddhist legends and everyday life in ancient India. Your guide will explain their historical and artistic significance. Return to Aurangabad for dinner and overnight stay.

Visit the magnificent Ellora Caves, featuring 34 rock-cut temples created between the 6th and 10th centuries. Marvel at the Kailasa Temple (Cave 16), carved from a single rock and considered one of the world’s largest monolithic structures. Continue to the Aurangabad Caves with their Tantric Buddhist influences. End the day at Daulatabad Fort, an impressive medieval fortress built on a conical hill. Return to your hotel in Aurangabad.

Fly back to Mumbai and check into your hotel. Proceed to Elephanta Island by ferry to explore the 5th-8th century caves dedicated to Lord Shiva, featuring the famous triple-headed “Trimurti” sculpture. Return to Mumbai for overnight stay.

Visit the Prince of Wales Museum (now Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya), Hanging Gardens, and Juhu Beach. In the evening, transfer to Mumbai International Airport for your departure flight.
