On the eastern border of Goa lies the Bhagvan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary. From tropical evergreen forests to the deciduous trees, Bhagvan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary is the home to a varied species of flora and fauna. Just 65 kms from Panaji, this sanctuary has different animals like Barking Deer, Wild Boar, Porcupine, Wild Dog and Leopard Cat.

Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary:

This is another beautiful sanctuary which is Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary which is one of the smallest preserves of Goa. The sanctuary has a small zoo which was originally built to shelter the orphaned animals.
