The Nahar Singh Mahal was chosen upon as the venue for the Kartik Cultural Festival in Gurugram. Named after Raja Nahar Singh, a young king who ascended the throne in the year 1739 during the reign of the last Mughal Emperor Bahadur Shah Zaffar, the palace was in a dilapidated condition until it was selected. The Government of Haryana took upon themselves the responsibility of restoring it to its former glory. Consequently a team of experts under the able guidance of Aman Nath and Francis Nacziarg beautified this palace.
