Best fit: March to June and October to November, when Dharamshala and Dalhousie are generally comfortable for sightseeing, scenic drives, walks and outdoor exploration.

Also possible: December to February works well for travellers who enjoy colder weather and winter mountain views. Snowfall may occur in parts of the region, so warm clothing is advisable.

Avoid: July to September is the monsoon period, particularly around Dharamshala. Heavy rainfall can affect road journeys, outdoor sightseeing and activity plans.
