A 7 Nights / 8 Days itinerary for Nau (9) Devi Darshan Tour.

  • Arrive in Delhi, meet our tour representative and begin the road journey towards Chandigarh.
  • En route, visit Mata Mansa Devi Temple and seek the Goddess’s blessings.
  • Continue to Chandigarh and complete the hotel check-in formalities.
  • Later, visit Sukhna Lake, Rock Garden and the Tower of Shadows.

Overnight: Chandigarh

  • After breakfast, check out and begin the drive towards Kangra.
  • Visit Naina Devi Temple, where pilgrims can reach the hilltop shrine by stairs or ropeway.
  • Further, continue to Sheetla Devi Temple for darshan.
  • Later, visit Chintpurni Temple, another important Shakti Peeth on the circuit.
  • After completing the temple visits, proceed to Kangra and check in at the hotel.

Overnight: Kangra

  • Begin the day with a visit to Mata Jwala Ji Temple, revered for the naturally burning sacred flames.
  • Continue to Maa Baglamukhi Temple and seek the blessings of the Goddess.
  • Later, visit Kangra Devi Temple, also associated with the revered Bajreshwari Devi shrine in Kangra.
  • After completing the day’s temple circuit, return to the hotel

Overnight: Kangra

  • The next day, have breakfast, check out of the hotel, and proceed to Chamunda Devi Temple.
  • Seek blessings at the shrine before continuing the journey to Dharamshala.
  • On arrival, check in at the hotel and relax for a while.
  • Later, visit the Dalai Lama Monastery and Bhagsu Nag Temple.

Overnight: Dharamshala

  • Have breakfast, check out of the hotel, and begin the road journey to Katra via Jammu.
  • On reaching Katra, complete the hotel check-in formalities.
  • Spend the rest of the day at leisure after the drive.
  • You can explore Katra’s local market in the evening.

Overnight: Katra

  • Start early in the morning for the sacred journey to Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan.
  • Trek from Katra to the shrine for darshan.
  • Seek the blessings of Mata Vaishno Devi at the Holy Cave.
  • After darshan, trek back to Katra.
  • Return to the hotel and rest after the pilgrimage.

Overnight: Katra

  • Fuel up with breakfast, check out and begin the road journey to Amritsar.
  • On arrival, check in at the hotel and relax.
  • Later, proceed to the Wagah Border to witness the ceremonial retreat at the India-Pakistan border, subject to the prevailing schedule.
    Return to the hotel after the visit.

Overnight: Amritsar

  • After breakfast, check out and begin sightseeing in Amritsar.
  • Visit Harmandir Sahib, popularly known as the Golden Temple.
  • Continue to Jallianwala Bagh, one of the city’s most significant historical sites.
  • Later, begin the drive towards Delhi.
  • On arrival, transfer to Delhi Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.

Best fit: March to April and September to November offer a good balance of pleasant weather and pilgrimage conditions.

Also possible: December to February can suit pilgrims comfortable with colder conditions, while May and June are possible if you do not mind warmer daytime temperatures.

Avoid: July and August receive monsoon rainfall across parts of Himachal Pradesh, which can affect road conditions and increase the possibility of travel delays. Temple visits are still possible, but keep extra flexibility in mind.

  • Yatra registration and an RFID-based Yatra Access Card are required before undertaking the Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrimage.
  • Some temples involve stairs, uphill walking or longer approaches, so comfortable footwear is recommended.
  • Darshan waiting times can increase considerably during Navratri, weekends and major religious occasions.
  • Temple timings, ropeway operations and access arrangements may change due to weather, maintenance or local administration.
  • Day 6 involves significant walking for the Vaishno Devi pilgrimage, so travellers should plan according to their fitness and mobility.
  • The itinerary includes several long road journeys; travellers with seniors or young children may wish to customise the pace.
