Best fit: October to March, when temperatures are more comfortable for early-morning and afternoon jungle safaris across Pench, Kanha and Bandhavgarh.

Also possible: April to June can work well for wildlife-focused travellers who can manage the heat. The forests become drier and animals often move towards water sources, which can improve wildlife-viewing opportunities.

Avoid: July to September is not suitable for this itinerary because the core tourism zones of the tiger reserves generally remain closed during the monsoon. Some buffer-zone experiences may operate, but they do not support the full three-park itinerary in the same way.

  • Tiger and wildlife sightings are natural and cannot be guaranteed on any safari.
  • Safari permits are issued for specific parks, zones, dates and time slots and are subject to availability.
  • Safari timings may change depending on the season, daylight and forest department instructions.
  • Madhya Pradesh tiger reserves have a weekly Wednesday afternoon closure for tourism in core areas, subject to current park rules.
  • Book safari permits well in advance, especially during peak wildlife months.
  • Follow your naturalist and forest guide’s instructions throughout the safari.
