Best fit: November to March, when the weather is more comfortable for early-morning and afternoon safaris across Bandhavgarh, Kanha and Pench.

Also possible: April to June can be rewarding for wildlife-focused travellers. The weather becomes much hotter, but thinner vegetation and animals gathering near water sources can improve wildlife-viewing opportunities. Early-morning safaris are particularly useful during this period.

Avoid: July to September is not suitable for this particular multi-park itinerary because the core safari zones close during the monsoon. Some buffer-zone experiences may operate, but they are not equivalent to the regular safari programme used in this tour.

  • Safari permits are limited and are issued for specific parks, zones and time slots, so advance booking is recommended.
  • Wildlife sightings, including tiger sightings, can never be guaranteed.
  • Safari timings and allotted zones may change due to weather, animal movement or Forest Department instructions.
  • Morning drives can be quite cold in winter, while April to June can be very hot.
