Best fit: October to March, when Delhi, Rajasthan and Agra are generally more comfortable for fort visits, palace tours, heritage walks and outdoor sightseeing.

Also possible: July to September can work for travellers who do not mind occasional rain and humidity. Udaipur and the Aravalli region can appear greener during this period.

Avoid: April to June can be uncomfortable for long outdoor sightseeing, particularly in Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and Jaipur. Plan early-morning visits and more indoor sightseeing if travelling during these months.
