  • Continue to Red Fort, Humayun’s Tomb, and the Qutub Minar Complex.
  • Return to the hotel after sightseeing.

Overnight: Delhi

  • The next morning, after breakfast, check out and drive from Delhi to Agra.
  • On arrival, check in at the hotel and relax for a while.
  • Later, visit the Taj Mahal, one of India’s most recognized Mughal monuments.

Best fit: October to March, when Delhi, Agra and Jaipur are comfortable for outdoor sightseeing, while Shimla adds cool mountain weather.

Also possible: April to June works well for travellers who prefer pleasant weather in Shimla. However, Delhi, Agra and Jaipur can become quite hot, so sightseeing is better planned..

Avoid: July to August is the least convenient period for this combined route. The plains can be hot and humid, while monsoon rain in the Shimla region may affect hill-road travel and outdoor sightseeing.

  • Monument timings and entry fees can change, so reconfirm them before sightseeing.
  • Delhi, Agra and Jaipur sightseeing involves considerable walking, steps and security checks.
  • Central Shimla, including Mall Road and The Ridge, is best explored on foot.
  • Toy Train seats are subject to availability and railway schedules, so advance booking is recommended.
  • Hill travel between Kalka and Shimla may take longer during heavy traffic or poor weather.
  • Keep warmer clothing easily accessible when travelling from the plains to Shimla.
