Itinerary Detail

Day 1:

Haridwar/Dehradun – Mussoorie – Barkot (210 km/7–8 hours)

Meet the driver at Haridwar Railway Station or Dehradun Airport, then proceed to Barkot via Mussoorie. En route, visit Mussoorie Lake and Kempty Falls (it is advisable to have lunch near Kempty Falls, as good dining options are limited ahead). Continue onwards to Barkot and check in at the hotel.

Note: Additional pick-up charges apply for pick-up from Dehradun Railway Station or a Dehradun hotel.

Day 2:

Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot (36 km drive + 6 km trek one way)

Drive to Janki Chatti/Phool Chatti and begin the trek to Yamunotri (6 km). The trek can be done on foot or by pony/doli at your own cost. At Yamunotri, take a bath in the warm waters of Jamunabai Kund, then proceed for Yamunaji darshan (puja can also be offered near the Divya Shila). After darshan, trek back to Janki Chatti, then drive to Barkot for the night.

Day 3:

Barkot – Uttarkashi (90 km/4 hours)

Start your day with breakfast, get ready, and then head out for a drive to Uttarkashi. Along the way, visit Shivgufa. On arrival, visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the nearby Shakti Temple before checking in at the hotel. The evening is free, and you can spend it just relaxing or exploring the surrounding areas. Further, have dinner and settle in for the night.

Day 4:

Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (100 km/3–4 hours each way)

This morning, after breakfast, proceed to Gangotri, stopping at Gangnani for a holy dip in Garam Kund. Continue through the scenic Harsil Valley to Gangotri. On arrival, take a holy dip in the river (Bhagirathi at the origin), perform puja, and spend time in the peaceful surroundings. Later, return to Uttarkashi for the night stay.

Day 5:

Uttarkashi – Guptkashi (220 km/8–9 hours)

After breakfast, check out of your hotel. Travel towards Guptkashi via Moolgarh and Lambgaon. On the way, stop at Tilwara to view the Mandakini River, which flows from Kedarnath. The drive continues alongside the river until Guptakashi. On arrival, visit the Ardh Narishwar Temple and check in at the hotel. Further, have dinner and have an overnight stay.

Day 6:

Guptkashi – Sonprayag – Kedarnath (30 km by road + 19 km trek)

Start early for Sonprayag. Complete biometric formalities before beginning the trek to Kedarnath. Pony/palki services can be hired directly at your own cost. Carry essential medicines, warm clothing, and toiletries for the overnight halt.

On reaching, visit Kedarnath Temple. Puja can be booked online or at the temple counter (as per availability). Overnight stay will be in a basic guesthouse within walking distance of the temple.

Day 7:

Kedarnath – Sonprayag – Guptkashi (19 km trek + 30 km drive/1 hour)

Rise before dawn for a ritual bath and proceed to the temple by early morning to attend the Abhishek pooja (4:45 AM). After entering the Garbha Griha, bow before the sacred idol and seek blessings. Following darshan, retrace the trekking path back to Sonprayag. From here, meet your driver and continue the journey to Guptkashi. Upon reaching, check in, have dinner, and stay overnight.

Day 8:

Guptkashi – Badrinath (215 km/7 hours)

Have breakfast, check out, and travel toward Badrinath, the final shrine of the Char Dham Yatra. Set between the Nar and Narayan ranges, the temple stands along the banks of the Alaknanda River. En route, visit/stop at Prayags as mentioned on the route (including Nandprayag and Vishnuprayag). On arrival, check in at the hotel. If time permits, attend the evening aarti at Badrinath Temple.

Day 9:

Badrinath – Joshimath – Rudraprayag (160 km/7 hours)

Begin with a ritual bath at Tapt Kund, followed by Badrivishal darshan. Visit Brahma Kapal (for ancestral rituals) and cover nearby sightseeing such as Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, Charanpaduka, Bhim Pul, Bhimkund, and the Saraswati “Mukh” (time permitting).

Later, drive to Rudraprayag via Joshimath (Narsingh Temple sighting on the way). As per the programme, you will also visit Yog Dhyan Badri (Pandukeshwar) and Karnprayag en route. Arrive at Rudraprayag and check in for the night.

Day 10:

Rudraprayag – Dharidevi – Rishikesh – Haridwar (160 km/5 hours)

Today is your last day of the trip. After breakfast, proceed towards Rishikesh. En route, visit Dharidevi Temple, then continue to Devprayag to witness the confluence that forms the holy River Ganga, and visit Raghunath Temple.

Upon reaching Rishikesh, cover key sights such as the Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Triveni Ghat, Bharat Mandir, and Shivananda Ashram. Later, transfer to Dehradun Airport or Haridwar Railway Station for departure.
