Attractions in Panchgani

Rajpuri Caves

In Panchgani, the Rajpuri Caves are regarded as an important religious travel attraction. The caves are adorned with ponds (kunds) in around the vicinity. It is believed by devotees that taking bath in these sacred kunds provides relief from all ailments and evils. Mythological legends also say that Ganga River used to flow in these ponds. In these caves, the main attraction is the temple dedicated to Lord Karthikeya. The temple is built from sand taken from the sand.
