Clinque Island is surrounded by water with its visibility up to 80 feet. This inhabited island has two parts northern and southern, divided by an iconic sandbar. The island houses Mahatma Gandhi Marine National park; exhibiting varieties of coral reefs, sea weeds, starfish, salt water crocodile, turtles, shells, fishes, snakes and indeed a sprawling marine life. The area is of utmost importance in order to preserve marine life, wildlife and greenery. Hence, you have to take permissions, which are generally granted without much fuss; though permission for staying overnight would need efforts. This island can be reached through many major islands and you would need to hire a chartered boat, which has the permission to enter the area of Clinque Islands. Public ferries also serve the area but they do not have regular schedule.
