Description:

On the top of the entrance of the Laxman Temple, Mahasamund there is a Sheshnaag that serves as an umbrella to Load Shiva. On the sides of the entrance there are incarnations of Load Vishnu, Krishna Leela ornamental symbols and erotic carvings. The pillars of this Panchrath type temple are engraved with the religious segments of a temple. The religious segments of a temple include Bharwahakgana, Vatayan, Chitya Gawaksha, Kirtimukh, Karna Amalak and Aja. The inside of the Laxman Temple in Mahasamund in India has a Mandap (shelter), Antraal (passage) and Garbha Grih (the main house). A museum has been established in the temple premises by the Archaeological Survey of India.
