Arvalem Waterfalls Goa

Arvalem Waterfall in Goa is located Nine kilometers south of Bicholim town. Here the water drops from a height of 70 feet. The first sight of Arvalem waterfall makes ripples in your heart- it is such a marvelous one. You can’t resist the temptation to take a dip at the bottom of the waterfall where it forms a lake.

You will be awestruck with the thunderous gush of water cascading down the rocky cliffs. It is indeed a majestic waterfall shedding its exuberant silvery showers all year long and mesmerizing the crowds since ages. If that’s not enough, you can visit the 5th century Rock Cut caves called the “Aravalem Caves” also known as the Pandava caves, named after the 5 Pandava brothers of the epic “Mahabharata”. The Shree Rudreshwar Temple is also located in the same place it and is a site of an annual Shivratri Zatra.

How to go:

There are a number of buses that run from Mapusa and Panaji to Aravalem. The nearest interstate bus station is at Mapusa, the KTC bus station.

Best Time to visit:

Although the best time to visit Goa is mid-November to mid-February, the waterfall is best visited during the monsoon, when one can see it in all its glory.
