Visit Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary, located approx. 105 km away from Heritage Park. The main attraction of this place is Gaur (Bison). Other wildlife species include Hollock Gibbon, Golden Langur, Capped Langur, Deer, and Pheasant. Birds and reptiles are also found here in huge numbers. The wildlife sanctuary is in the South Tripura District and can be reached from Belonia in the south or Sonamura in the north. Visit Dumboor Lake, a water body in Amarpur Sub Division. Its shape resembles a small drum, just like the Dumboor of Lord Shiva, from which this lake’s name originates. Hills surround the lake and have 48 islets inside it that are emerald green and captivate the tourist. Winter is the best time to visit Dumboor Lake as hundreds of migratory birds come here. Moreover, a hydel project is nearby from where the Gomti River begins; thus, it is called Tirthamukh. A grand Mela or fair is held here annually on Poush Sankranti on 14th January.
