Located in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu, Coonoor is one of the most famous hill stations of the Nilgiri hills. It is a popular tourist hotspot because it offers breathtaking views of the lush green hills. It is located at a distance of 19 kilometers away from Ooty. The famous points in Coonoor are Dolphin’s Nose, Droog Fort, Hidden Valley and Ketty etc. The nearby Wellington Golf Course is quite popular with business magnates who would love to spend their evening by hitting masterstrokes. By Train

The Nilgiri Mountain Railway service between Ooty and Mettupalayam is available with a stopover at Coonoor. Other major railway station is Coimbatore junction, which is connected to all major cities in India such as Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi.

By Air

Coimbatore Peelamdeu Airport is the nearest airport from Coonoor. It is located at a distance of 54 kilometers from Coonoor. Coimbatore Airport is well-connected to major airports in South India, especially Chennai and Bangalore.

By Road

The National Highway 209 and Bangalore-Mysore Road connect Bangalore and Coonoor. If you are travelling in a group via car, the journey from Bangalore to Coonoor will take around 6 hours.
