Best time to visit Sunderbans

The mysterious forestlands on the delta of Ganga, Yamuna and other local rivers on the coast of Bay of Bengal is one place thriving with wilderness and wildlife. The UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the natural wonders of the world. September to March are the best months to visit Sunderbans, the winters being the most pleasant time to visit. Summers have high temperature, which is not a good time to enjoy. The monsoons in the national park are generous with rains which make traveling treacherous but the lush green surroundings certainly make up for it. Sunderbans National Park in Summer (March - May)

Summer temperatures in Sunderbans range between 20 - 42° Celcius. It is extremely hot and humid. The high temperature are very uncomfortable for tourists and also there is a dearth of water. It is a good time to get to spot some wildlife in their natural habitat.

Sunderbans National Park in Monsoon (June - October)

The monsoon is new life to the delta after the scorching summers. Traveling to Sunderbans in monsoon is barred. The rains are treacherous and also it is the breeding season for most of the animals inhabiting the region.

Sunderbans National Park in Winter (November - February)

Sunderbans is winter season is pleasant with temperature ranging between 10 – 35° Celcius. The cold months are the best time to explore the greenery and experience the natural beauty of the region.
