National Memorial Museum is located in Port Blair. This is a part of cellular jail, which is also known as Kala Paani. British Empire imprisoned the freedom fighters here, afar from their families and connectivity. They were forced to live a tortured life in singular cells and this memorial has barely witnessed any mercy.
Today, people flock to this memorial to feel and offer tribute to all those who struggled for their life and freedom here. The timings of the museum are 9:00 am to 12:30 pm and 1:30 Pm to 4:45 Pm (Monday closed). A general entry charge is Rs 10.
