On the inner walls the floral patterns and the geometric designs are beautifully painted which adds beauty to the palace. There are also some paintings done in the eastern and the western hall. History

‘Daria Daulat Bagh’ or the Summer Palace of ‘Tipu Sultan’ in Karnataka in India was built in the year 1784. The building was originally constructed by Haider Ali, father of Tipu sultan. It is said that the money to build this majestic palace came from the sea trade that was highly in operation during that time. Colonel Wellesley occupied the place after the death of Tipu Sultan and then later on Lord Dalhousie took some commendable steps to renovate and hold on the essence of the palace. Daria Daulat Bagh or the Summer Palace of Tipu Sultan was acknowledged as a national monument in the year 1959.
