Gaumukh Tapovan Trek Itinerary

Day 1: Gangotri – Chirbasa (8 km / 3 – 4 hours)

On your arrival at Gangotri, meet our tour representative and start your trek from Gangotri to Chirbasa. It is an 8 km trek, which takes three to four hours to complete. Night stay is scheduled at Chirbasa.

Day 2: Chirbasa – Bhojbasa (5 km / 2 – 3 hours)

Today, from Chirbasa you trek to Bhojbasa covering 5 km in two to three hours. Home stay at Bhojbasa.

Day 3: Bhojbasa – Gaumukh – Tapovan (9 km / 4 hours)

On day 3 of your Gomukh Tapovan Trek tour continue your trek from Bhojbasa to Gaukmukh. On entering Gomukh you get to enjoy the serenity and scenic views of Mt. Shivling and Bhagirathi group of mountains. Later, you proceed ahead and trek to Tapovan. At Tapovan, adore the vast expanse of the place which majorly consists of impressive greenery. Overall, it is a 9 km trek, to be covered in four hours. Overnight stay at Tapovan.

Day 4: Tapovan – Bhojbasa (9 km / 3 hours)

Day 4 is set to start the return trek from Tapovan to Bhojbasa covering 9 km in three hours. Stay overnight at Bhojbasa.

Day 5: Bhojbasa – Gangotri (13 km / 4 – 5 hours)

On the 5th and last day of your trek tour, you trek back from Bhojbasa to Gangotri. It is a 13 km trek, which takes four to five hours. Upon reaching Gangotri, you can travel on your own for your onward journey.
