By Air

The Peelamedu Airport, also known as Coimbatore Airport, is around 12 km away from the city center. This airport connects Coimbatore to all the important metro cities of India such as Mumbai, Delhi, Calicut, Chennai and Bangalore. The nearest international airports are in Chennai and Karipur Airports, connecting Coimbatore to different parts of the world. From the airport, you can hire a taxi or board an auto to go to the city.

By Rail

Coimbatore city has two railway stations- Coimbatore Junction and Coimbatore North Railway Station, of which the second one is the main. This railway station connects the city to all the main destinations of India. From the railway station, autos and rented taxis are available.

By Road

Coimbatore city is easily accessible by road. State Road Transport Corporation of Tamil Nadu and Kerala manage buses from Coimbatore to various cities in the state. Super deluxe buses, deluxe buses and Volvo buses ply between Coimbatore and other important destinations including Trivandrum (387 km), Cochin (190 km) and Chennai (506 km). If you opt for self-drive, National Highway- 47 connects the city to the rest of the country.
