Itinerary Details
Day 1: Gangtok

Your North East India tours start after your pick up from Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station. Start your journey to Gangtok. Nestled amid the snow-capped mountains, Gangtok is the breathtaking capital of Sikkim. Blessed with incredible views, pleasant weather, Tibetan monasteries, and other incredible sights, it is the perfect start to a holiday in North East India.

On arrival in Gangtok, check in to the hotel. The rest of the day is free of plans. Choose to spend the day at your leisure. Enjoy a stroll in your hotel premises or check out the vibrant town.

Day 2: Bhalukpong – Dirang (180 km / 08 hrs.)

Start the day with breakfast at the hotel. Later, proceed for a day trip to Tsomgo Lake ( 3 hours both ways). You can also choose an optional tour to Nathula Pass (high mountain pass at 14000Ft.) marking the Indo-China Border. Tours can be arranged (Except Mon, Tue) for only Indian Nationals at an additional cost.

The beautiful Tsomgo Lake, also known as Changu Lake is a popular tourist attraction and is located on the road towards the Nathula pass. The glacial lake is a beauty to admire as are the beautiful surroundings. After the lake, pay a visit to the unique Baba Mandir. Unlike dedicated to divine beings, this shrine is built in the memory of a brave Indian soldier, Harbhajan Singh who died during the war near the Nathula Pass and is a revered deity protecting the locals from harm.

Later, return to Gangtok while enjoying the scenery on your drive. The evening is free for shopping activities. Proceed to the very popular M G Marg & Lal Bazar, the foreign-style local markets of Gangtok to check out the Canvas Wall Hangings, Thangkas, Woollen Carpets, Traditional Folding Tables, Tea, Sikkimese Traditional Dress, Fruit Juice, etc. do not miss out to gorge on some delightful tastes

Day 3: In Gangtok

After breakfast at the hotel begin your 2nd day Gangtok sightseeing tour. The full-day city tour (Starts 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM) covers the major attractions of the town.

Learn about the heritage of Tibetan Buddhists in the Dro-Dul Chorten Stupa, an ancient monastery and the Institute of Tibetology. Last stop of the day is the Flower show and Handicraft Centre. After a day full of sightseeing, get back to the hotel.

Day 4: Gangtok – Pelling ( 120 km./ 5 Hrs.)

Start the day with early breakfast. Later, pack your bags and check out from the hotel and drive Gangtok to Pelling. Nestled at an altitude of 6800 feet / 2072 meters in the lap of the mountains, Pelling enjoys great views, pleasant weather, and a lot more attractions. On a clear day bask in the scenic view of the Himalayan range with snow-capped mount Pandim, Kumbhakarna, Rathong, Khangchendzonga, Zopuno, Shambho, Narsing, Sinolchu, etc.

On arrival in Pelling, check in to the hotel. The rest of the day is free of plans. Spend the day at your leisure. You can choose to stroll around the town or enjoy the comforts of your hotel.

Day 5: In Pelling

Start the day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel. The full-day sightseeing of Pelling (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM) covers the major charms of the hill town. Start with a visit to the beautiful Kanchenjunga waterfalls, believed to be nourished by the glaciers of Mount Kanchenjunga, the 3rd highest peak in the world. It gushes down from a height of 100 feet into a pool. Next, pay a visit to the Rimbi waterfalls set amid a park of the same name. It is a popular picnic spot that allows cherishing the blessed surroundings. Next, visit the sacred Khecheopalri Lake, believed to be one of the holiest Buddhist lakes in India. Its beauty is undeniable and one of the highlights of your tour.

Take a break for lunch and later continue with the sightseeing. Visit the Pemayangtse Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in Sikkim and a holy pilgrimage. Later, check out the Rabdentse Ruins. A witness to Sikkim’s glory, the archaeological excavations reveal the grandeur of the royal family of Sikkim.

Later, visit the local markets to buy Buddhist flags, woven bamboo articles, colorful woolen scarves, Tibetan ornaments, carpets, local spices like black cardamom, tea, walnuts, and oranges. After some shopping, get back to the hotel.

Day 6: Darjeeling ( 110 km./ 4 Hrs.)

Start the day with a delicious breakfast after which check out from the hotel. Start with the drive from Pelling to Darjeeling.

The beautiful hill station in the North-Eastern Himalayas is one of the most popular places to visit in North Eats India. Blessed with salubrious weather, amazing sights, Tibetan culture, and more, it is a popular getaway for family vacations and honeymoon couples.

On arrival in Darjeeling, check in to the hotel. The rest of the day is free of plans. Spend time at your leisure. You can choose to walk through the town or watch the sunset or enjoy the delightful gastronomy.

Day 7: In Darjeeling

Early in the morning, proceed to Tiger Hill for the sunrise viewing. The view of Mt Kanchenjunga and other peaks of the Himalayas is truly out of the world.

Have your breakfast and visit the Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park. Spot the rare collections of high altitude Himalayan species like Snow leopard, clouded Leopard, Siberian Tiger, Red Panda, and many rare mammals and birds in the natural surroundings.

Next stop to explore the Himalayan Mountaineering to come across the priceless collection of mountaineering gears used by legendary climbers in the Himalayas. After that, explore the tea garden spread over the valleys while learning about tea plucking and processing.

Also, pay a visit to the Ghoom Monastery. The beautiful Batasia Loop is an interesting stop that covers the incredible view of the Himalayas and is also an engineering marvel. Also, visit the Japanese Temple dedicated to Lord Buddha. Nearby is also the Peace Pagoda which has the four avatars of Buddha, in the postures of sleeping, sitting, standing, and meditating. Enjoy a visit to the Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center where you can watch the creation of handicrafts.

In the afternoon enjoy shopping on your own at the local markets like Ghoom Monastery Market, Batasia Loop Market, and Chowk Bazaar. Shop for hand-knitted items, cheap electronics, Handicrafts & Souvenirs, and Woolen clothes. Spend the evening at the Mall. After shopping, recharge yourself with mouthwatering momos and other Tibetan dishes.

Day 8: Darjeeling – Mirik – Darjeeling

Start the day with leisurely breakfast. Later visit the beautiful Mirik. The scenic hill town is a short drive from Darjeeling. Upon arrival enjoy the boat ride on Mirik Lake or horse riding.

In the afternoon en route back to Darjeeling, visit the Pashupati Market. Situated right at the Nepal border, this is the place to buy cheap cosmetics and clothes imported from other countries.

Day 9: Darjeeling – IXB Airport / NJP (80 Kms./3 Hrs.)

After a leisurely breakfast, check out from the hotel and get assisted transfer to Airport/ NJP Railway Station for onward destination.
