Assam and Arunachal Pradesh Itinerary For 10 Days
Day 1: Guwahati - Kaziranga
Our tour representative will meet you at the pickup location upon your arrival at Gopinath Bordoloi Airport/ Guwahati Railway Station. You will have an assisted transfer to Kaziranga, the World Heritage site. It is home to the world-famous One-Horned Rhinoceros. On reaching Kaziranga, you will be taken to the pre-booked hotel. Complete the check-in formalities and relax for a while.
In the evening, you will get an opportunity to attend Bihu, a local dance performed by a local group of dancers and musicians. Then, savor a delicious dinner and have a sound sleep in your cozy bed.

Day 2: Kaziranga National Park
Wake up to a delicious meal and then embark on a Kaziranga National Park sightseeing tour. You will go on a jeep safari to explore the park's scenic beauty and spot some of the exotic species of wildlife. It is home to a wide range of rare species like Wild boar, Wild water buffalo, Golden Langur, Pallas fish eagle, etc.
After the national park tour, return to the hotel and have a delectable breakfast. Later, set out for a plantation tour of the Tea estates in Assam. Also, visit the local crafts unit to check out the local silk and dresses. The rest of the evening is free to relax at the hotel. Finally, enjoy a toothsome dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Kaziranga.
Day 3: Kaziranga - Dirang
On the 3rd day of the Assam Arunachal Pradesh tour, you will check out from the hotel after having a lip-smacking breakfast. Then, you will start your journey to Dirang. Enjoy the road trip on the windy paths ascending into Eastern Himalayas. If time permits, you can visit Sessa Orchid Sanctuary, which is home to 200 species of orchids.
On arrival, check in at the pre-booked hotel. The rest of the evening is at your leisure. Enjoy a delicious dinner at the hotel and have a restful sleep in your cozy bed.

Day 4: Dirang - Tawang
Start your day with a hearty breakfast, and then pack your bags. Next, check out from the hotel and embark on a sightseeing tour of Dirang. This beautiful town is known for hot water springs that comprise medicinal properties. After spending half of your day sightseeing, you will proceed to Tawang, a picturesque city in northeast India.
En route, visit the Sela Lake at Sela Pass at 4,170 m above sea level. Also, visit the heroic landmark of Jaswant Garh, where a young soldier held up the Chinese army for 3 days in the 1962 Indo- China war. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Overnight at Tawang.

Day 5: Tawang Sightseeing Tour
After having a delicious breakfast, wake up early in the morning and proceed for a sightseeing tour of Tawang. The main attractions for today are the Bum La Pass and Sangetsar lake, famously known as Madhuri Lake. Firstly, you will visit the Pankang Teng Tso Lake and enjoy enchanting views. Afterward, visit Bum La Pass, perched at 4,633 m above sea level. It is a perfect place for those who love roaming in the wilderness. Then proceed to Sangetsar Lake, formed in the aftermath of the 1950 earthquake.
In the evening, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Tawang Exploration Tour
On the 6th day of the Assam Arunachal Pradesh trip, you will enjoy the exploration tour of Tawang after having a leisurely breakfast. First, you will visit the Tawang Monastery, the largest gompa in India and the second-largest monastery after the Lhasa Monastery. Post lunch, you will visit the War Memorial and the Buddha statue. Later, in the evening, you will go to the main bazaar for some local shopping for souvenirs.
Return to the hotel after the sightseeing tour. Have a delectable dinner in the hotel, and then slip into your cozy bed for a sound sleep after a hectic day.
Day 7: Tawang - Bomdila
Arise for a beautiful day in Tawang and after having breakfast, pack your bags. Then, complete the check-out formalities and proceed towards Bomdila. On arrival, complete the check-in formalities and unwind. The rest of the day is at your leisure. You can explore the town on your own. It is a paradise for nature lovers, and a photographer's delight as the snow-capped mountain ranges of the Himalayas offer spectacular views. Overnight stay at Bomdila.

Day 8: Bomdila – Balipara
After breakfast, complete the check-in formalities at the hotel to drive from Bomdilla to Balipara. En route, visit Bomdila Monastery that was established in the year 1965 and it represents the spiritual essence of Buddhism. This monastery resembles Tsona Gontse Monastery of South Tibet.
Later, proceed towards Balipara. On arrival at Balipara, check in to the hotel and relax. In the afternoon, visit Nameri for Jungle trekking with an armed guide. Return to the hotel in the evening for a delicious dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Balipara - Guwahati
On the 9th day of the tour, have a sumptuous breakfast and proceed to Guwahati. On arrival, check in at the hotel and relax for a while. Later, visit for a city tour of Guwahati, covering popular attractions including Kamakhya Temple, Vashistha Ashram, and many other places. Kamakhya Temple is one of the prominent Shakti Peetha and revered shrines of Goddess Shakti. Seeks blessing at this auspicious place. Vashistha Ashram is located on the bank of the mountain stream, and this is a temple of Lord Shiva. The ashram was founded by the great saint Vashishtha.
The rest of the evening is at leisure. Overnight stay.

Day 10: Guwahati – Departure
