Lakshman Jhula in Rishikesh is a popular tourist attraction in Rishikesh. It is a suspended bridge across the river Ganga, which is 450 ft long and 70 ft above the river. Initially, the Lakshman Jhula was a hanging jute bridge, but later it was transformed into an iron suspension bridge in 1930. Lakshman Jhula is used as a crossing bridge from Swarg Ashram to Gita Bhavan. Also, one should not miss the great Terah Manzil, a thirteen-story temple close to Lakshman Jhula.

Rishikesh Lakshman Jhula is located approximately 8 km away from the main city of Rishikesh. This suspended bridge connects the borders of Tehri and Pauri. A walk on the bridge offers amazing views of River Ganga and its surroundings, including ashrams, mountain peaks, Ghats, and temples.

Named after the younger brother of Lord Sri Ram, Lakshman, the hanging bridge has a history behind its construction. According to Hindu mythology, the bridge was made by Lakshman to cross the holy river Ganga. In the same place, we have the Lakshman Jhula now. Lakshman Jhula  Rishikeshis one of the finest attractions of the city and a lot of people visit here every year.
