Nag Tibba Trek is the highest peak in the lower Himalayan region of Uttarakhand. Trek to Nag Tibba Peak is just an overnight affair, but the memories you will collect here will be cherished for a lifetime. The trek is best for those who want to walk through the woods, reach heights, and spend the night under the star-studded sky.

While on the trek, you would come across various popular peaks such as Bandarpunch Peak, The Gangotri Group of Peaks, Doon Valley, Kedarnath Peak in the North, and the snow-laden peaks of Chanabang. You can enjoy the 100-degree view of majestic Himalayan mountain ranges, including Swargarohini, Kala Nag, and Srikantha. The enchanting view makes the trek worthy and memorable. 

The Nag Tibba Peak trek (or Serpent’s Peak) is located at 3,022 m above sea level. It is home to rich biodiversity, which offers scenic views of a variety of flora and fauna. Pantwari is the base camp of Nag Tibba trek. There are four routes to reach the top. All the four routes lead to Gujjar Campsite, where they converge and lead to a single route to the final summit.

Best Time to Visit Nag Tibba Peak

April to June and October to December is the best time to visit Nag Tibba Trek. The weather conditions in summers remain comfortable and favorable for the trek and outdoor activities. In the winter months, the trekking trail transforms into a white wonderland. The snow-covered path offers a unique experience to the trekkers. During the monsoon season, the region becomes muddy and the chances of landslides increase, due to which it is not a recommendable time to travel to Nag Tibba trek.

Where is Nag Tibba Peak Located?

Nestled in the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayas, Nag Tibba Peak lies to the northeast of Mussoorie in Uttarakhand. This is popularly known as the ‘Mountain of the Serpent’, which holds religious importance for the locals. The trek starts from Pantwari, which is easily accessible from Mussoorie. The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun and the primary railhead of Mussoorie is also in Dehradun.

Nag Tibba Trek Trek Itinerary

Day 1 – Dehradun – Panthwari – Nag Tibba

On reaching Dehradun Railway Station, our representative will pick you up and then leave for Panthwari via Mussoorie–Kempty falls–Nain-Bagh. As per the schedule, you would reach Panthwari at 12 noon. After this, you start your trek to Nag Tibba and reach the same by 6 PM.

Overnight stay in camp.

Day 2: Nag Tibba – Panthwari – Dehradun – New Delhi

On this day, descend from Nag Tibba Top and return to Panthwari. Proceed to Dehradun, which you will reach by 9:00 PM. Then, catch a train or bus for your onward journey to New Delhi.radun.
