I read somewhere that to experience the authenticity of Jodhpur Cuisine– You will have to stroll through its narrow lanes.

When I visited here last year, I came to know that it is genuinely 100% TRUE!

The local street food is connected with fascinating stories, and some unique dishes have been served for over a century.

As a result, just as this blue city exudes royalty and culture in every corner, its local foods also share this vibe.

But special thanks to my guide from Indian Holiday, who introduced me to hidden spots for street foods.

I enjoyed local foods like never before, and there are enough that would keep you busy the entire day.

So, I will take you on my experience, which turned out to be a guide to finding the best street foods in Jodhpur.

Top 8 Street Food Spots to Give Your Taste Buds a Flavorful Treat

It is a tough choice for me to compile the top 8 stalls I love from all I have visited to find the best street foods in Jodhpur. Hence, I tried to express my feelings concisely and take you on a virtual tour of local Jodhpur foods.

Morning Delight

Morning-Delight 1. Clock Tower The iconic Clock Tower isn’t just a historical landmark; it’s the heart of Jodhpur’s street food scene. As I wandered through its lively bazaar, I couldn’t resist the “Mawa Kachori” call from the famous Janta Sweet Home. This flaky, sweet delicacy stuffed with rich mawa and nuts perfectly started my culinary adventure. Don’t miss out on the spicy “Pyaaz Kachori”—a local favourite that packs a punch! 2. Mishrilal’s Lassi No trip to Jodhpur is complete without a visit to Mishrilal’s, located at the bustling Sardar Market. Their “Makhania Lassi” is the epitome of indulgence. Thick, creamy, and topped with a generous dollop of fresh butter, it’s a dessert disguised as a drink. Sitting on a simple bench and sipping this delight while watching the world go by was one of my trip’s most memorable moments.

Their massive Shahi samosas, filled with a flavorful potato and spice mix, are as delicious as they are filling. Pair it with their mint chutney, and you’ll understand why this spot is a crowd favourite. I couldn’t help but grab an extra one for later—it’s that good! 4. Jalori Gate Jalori Gate is where I discovered the famous “Gulab Jamun Ki Sabzi.” Yes, you read that right! This unique dish features sweet gulab jamuns cooked in a spicy curry—a surprising combination that’s as delicious as it is intriguing. I also tried “Chhoti Baati” here, a smaller version of the traditional Rajasthani dish, served with tangy chutneys.

Evening Snack

Evening-Snack 5. Sojati Gate Sojati Gate is a street food paradise. I tried the legendary “Mirchi Vada,” a fiery treat made of green chillies coated in gram flour batter and fried to golden perfection. If you’re a spice lover like me, you’ll adore this kick of heat! Balance it with some sweet jalebis from a nearby stall, and you’ve got yourself a classic Jodhpuri combo. 6. Street Vendors of Ratanada Ratanada’s streets come alive in the evening with stalls offering everything from “Dahi Puri” to “Pav Bhaji.” I stumbled upon a small chaat vendor who served the most refreshing “Pani Puri”—crispy puris filled with tangy, spicy water that left me craving more.
