Thlumuwi Stone Bridge is a historical bridge built by warriors of Jaintia hills on the order of the Jaintia kings. This bridge was built to carry out the communications between the regions. It comprised a slab of stones and was supported by substantial, tall stone pillars. However, after some centuries, one of the slabs fell off when an elephant tried to cross it. Despite the damage, the bridge stands tall today. The bank of Thlumuwi with cascading Mavi Falls forms a fantastic view for every visitor.

The best time to visit Jowai is from November to February when the weather is pleasant & cool. During this time, the clear and sunny skies make it an ideal enjoyable time for outdoor activities.
