Constructed during the reign of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb in the end of the 17th century, Chintamani Jain temple, although has simple exteriors but extraordinarily crafted interiors. The wooded pillars of this 400-yr old temple are covered in mesmerizing vegetable dye paintings highlighted by carved brackets. These art works contain the paintings made by of King Kumarpala, a Solanki ruler, and Jain preacher Acharya Hemchandra.

The walls of the temple are covered with floral motif and miniature sculpture that draw your attention towards them. The London Museum has a sandalwood model of this temple, which was kept there around 90 years ago. Chintamani temple is not popular amid Jains but is also visited by followers of other religions.
