Located in the heart of Bangalore, Cubbon Park is one landscaped garden that has given the city a new landmark, quite different from the usual urban attractions of the city. Adding to the charm of Bangalore since 1870, Cubbon Park is one of the popular tourist attractions in Bangalore. The park is said to be built by Sir John Meade, the acting commissioner of Mysore, around hundred years back.

Since its inauguration, Cubbon Park had undergone certain renovations in its design and structure from time to time. Owing to this, one can see a number of Neolithic government buildings, while strolling in the park. Famous ones are the Government Musem, High Court, Vidhan Soudha, Public Library, Cheshire Dyer Memorial Hall and Ottawa Chatter. Besides these important government buildings, the park also speaks highly of a Children’s Amusement Park, Doll Museum and a Toy Train.

Talking about its beauty, Cubbon Park is blessed with flower beds, rolling lawns and trees that provide an ambience rich in peace. In order to enjoy its beauty to the maximum, one must make a visit to Cubbon Park early morning, or in the evening.
