Nohsngithiang Falls is famously known as the ‘Seven Sister Waterfalls’ or ‘Mawsmai Falls’. It is located near the Mawsmai Village in East Khasi Hills and with a height of 1,033 feet in height, Nohsngithiang Falls makes it among the top 10 waterfalls in India.

  • How to reach: Hire a taxi from Paltan Bazar in Guwahati. You can book a taxi from Police Bazar in Shillong and a 2-hour ride will take you to Nohsngithiang Falls.

Elephant Falls

Also known as three-step waterfalls, Elephant Falls is a major waterfall in Meghalaya and is surrounded by green vegetation. Kynrem Falls

One of the highest waterfalls of Meghalaya, Kynrem Falls plunges from 1,001 feet in height. It is also counted as the 7th highest waterfall in India and offers stunning beauty in the post-monsoon as well as winter season. Pillar Rock or Shiva Rock is a major attraction here that you must not miss.

  • How to reach: Located 12 km from Cherrapunjee, take a bus or taxi to reach the park and from there hike 3 to 5 minutes downhill to reach the falls.

Langshiang Falls

Located amid the lush forest of Sangriang, Langshiang Falls is the largest cascade in Meghalaya. The river Kynshi streams down the West Khasi Hills to form the gorgeous Langshiang Falls. This refreshing beauty is also referred to as ‘kshaid Ur-Nar’ by the locals and is surrounded by hamlets and hills.

Dainthlen Falls

Mawphlang Falls
