As directed by the Prime Minister, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation is about to introduce special Pilgrimage train from Kerala.
This train has been named Akhand Bharath Trail. The train will commence its journey from December 12th and will have its stoppage in Thiruvananthapuram, Kannur, Kozhikode, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kollam and Kottayam stations. The train will further head to Goa, Hyderabad and Kolkata, in a span of eleven days.
Akhand Bharath Trail will have three classes namely Sleeper, 3-tier Ac and 2-tier Ac. Coaches apart from accommodation have a pantry car and two power cars.
Every coach will have tour escorts and security personal. As a whole it will be able to accommodate 190 passengers in AC cars and 510 in sleeper class. Public address is installed in order to announce important information and religious discourses during the trip. The tour packages include journey, meals and excursion transportation on seat in coach basis.
