Performers and entertainers from different parts of India charm the cities of Indore and Ujjain for a remarkable five day celebration of art, music, dance, drama and culture.
One can say that the festival is a storehouse to the culture, spirit and the essence of the state. There is a huge gathering of locals and tourists coming from all parts of India and across the globe. Well-known artists, excellent performances, colorful ambience and a mélange of various programs form the prime highlights of the festival. Malwa Utsav Date
There are different themes planned, according to which the arrangements and the performances are prepared. The aesthetic ambience marked by the ornaments of the performers and the beautiful decorations are worth admiring. There are several classical dance performances that shape the strong base for self-expression.
Owing their origin to Natya Shastra, composed by Baratha between 2 B.C. and 2 A.D, dances are an integral part of the ancient Vedas; the fifth Veda actually clarifies dance style and forms. The vocal music of the performers reverberates in the auditorium and is gracefully balanced by the instrumentalists who perform with tremendous amount of vigor to cheer up the entire program.
