Overview

Taj Lake Palace, or Jag Niwas, was inaugurated in 1746 by Maharana Jagat Singh II, who wanted to create an Island Palace in the middle of Lake Pichola. The palace is built with complete marble carved in traditional Rajasthan style art & craftsmanship. The royalty of this palace can be seen with its use of silk fabrics and carved wooden furniture.

This palace hotel can be reached from Maharana Pratap Airport, about 26 km away and just 4 km from Udaipur Railway station.
