Adhar Devi Temple is a popular temple in Mount Abu and is also known as Arbuda Devi Temple. This is a cave-temple located inside a rocky cleave and can be reached through a flight of 365 stairs, which has been carved in the hill. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga. An image of the goddess is found hanging in the air here.
Legends say that the ‘adhar’ (half of the body) of Goddess Durga fell here. Pilgrims gather in the temple in huge number to offer their prayers to the god; and especially during the 9 days of Navratri Festival the quantity increases. As it is located at such a height, the visitors are offered with a beautiful view of the vicinity.
