How to reach Chopta
Chopta is well-connected to places like Rishikesh, Gopeshwar, and Haridwar by road. The best way to reach Chopta is to first reach either Dehradun or Haridwar and from there take a bus/cab to Chopta. One can easily get buses or cabs from Haridwar to reach the destination. There is decent road connectivity for Chopta from Haridwar, Dehradun, Srinagar, and Rishikesh. There are state-run buses and good taxi service available from these destinations.
How to get around Chopta
Public transport is not available, so you need your own vehicle to get around. Or use your feet. The whole area is very scenic.
Accommodation in Chopta
Earlier camping was the popular alternative for staying in Chopta. But due recent order of the High Court camping in Chopta is banned for some time. You can find several hotels and swiss tents in the region starting from Makkuband, Dugalbitta, Baniyakund, and Chopta. These accommodations offer basic facilities at nominal costs. However, if you visit Chopta in a group or with family, you can stay at Mayadeep Resort in Chopta that offers a comfortable stay.

Chopta is a very small village, and therefore it does not have many dining options available around.
