Chardham Yatra Opening Dates 2021

The holy Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand remains open for devotees only for a brief period of six months of the year. Located in the lap of the Himalayas, amid snow covered peaks, the four auspicious dhams remains inaccessible for half the year and doors of the temples remain closed. Every year the temples open their doors from April-May to October- November. The opening dates depend upon the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya also known as Akha Teej, while the closing dates depend on the festivities of Vijay Dashami, Bhai Dooj and Diwali. In 2021, the Starting date of the Chardham Yatra is 14th May and the tentative closing dates are till the 10th of November. The dates are fixed after considering the Panchang, the Hindu calendar. The dates are usually declared by the Char Dham temple committee along with the Kedar-Badri Mandir Samiti.
