The best travel stories are of those who travel independently. After the pandemic, traveling solo will be the trend in 2021. In fact, the before and after the proportion of solo travelers in India will shock you.

According to a survey, the number of Indian solo travelers has increased from 18% to 54% after the pandemic.

They say to plan a trip on their own in the future. On the other hand, 49% of travelers say they would want to travel more in 2021 to make up for the lost time this year. It is time to get out in the world and travel as much as they can!

Country Manager of India, Sri Lanka, and Maldives at Booking.com, Ritu Mehrotra, said, “The effect of COVID-19 has and will continue to evolve the way we travel, impacting our choices and decisions in the near future.” She further said, “While travel in 2021 will be different, it is reassuring to see that Indians are still optimistic about its possibilities and have found creative ways to fulfil their wanderlust despite the pandemic.” She added,  “The findings of the Booking.com research and emerging trip types are a testament to fact that travel is a vital part of our lives and when the best, and safest, possibilities permit, travellers will confidently take a step forward to chase their travel dreams once again.”
