Lachen By Flight
The nearest airport to Lachen is Bagdogra Airport. You can board a flight to this airport located in the Siliguri region of West Bengal. Once you reach Bagdogra, you can travel via a helicopter flight to Gangtok for your further journey to Lachen.
You need an ILP or Inner Line Permit to visit Lachen. After getting the permit, you have to stay the night in Gangtok and the next morning you can leave for Lachen. Gangtok to Lachen distance is approx. 114 km and will take around 4.5 hours.
Lachen By Train
