How to reach Shimla

By Air

The nearest airport to Shimla is Jubbarhatti Airport or Shimla Airport which is approximately 21 km from the city. If you prefer traveling by airplane, you will have to get down at this port and take a cab. It won’t take you long to reach the city.

By Rail

The best way to reach Shimla is by train. The reason being, you have to get down at the Kalka Railway station. And the real amusement/ joy starts from here. Get to the toy train counter and get the tickets or pre-book while booking the other tickets.

It is recommended that you get on this train and cover the next 96 km on this. There are 4-5 trains that run on this route. Get the tickets to any of those.

By Road

When it comes to traveling by road; there are several buses from multiple cities that go to Shimla. It is well connected with the nearby cities via road. Also, you can take a road trip to Shimla from Chandigarh, Delhi, Kullu & Manali.
