Kaimoor Wildlife Sanctuary in Uttar Pradesh was set up in 1982 and is located in the border area of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The vegetation consists of 500 square kilometers of verdant land.

The topography of the region is as varied as the types of animals that it houses. It is populated by mosaic grassland, deciduous forest and swampy marshes.

The main animal population consists of antelope, blue bull, black buck Chital, chinkara and pea fowl.

The sanctuary is also rich in avian life. The Brahmini duck, red crested poacher, pintail, mallard, coot, common teal, tufted duck are some of the species that throng the park. With some measure of luck, you can also view the migratory bird. They add color and vibrancy to Kaimoor Wildlife Sanctuary.
