The Bhimakali Temple is a popular attraction in Shimla which is dedicated to Goddess Durga. The temple is located in Sarahan at the distance of 180 km from Shimla. Maa Durga is present here in the form of Bhimakali. The temple is considered one of the most famous Hindu shrines in the Himalayan province. The temple is 800 years old and it is believed to be one of the 51 Shakti Peethas of Shaivite Hindus. As per Hindu mythology, the Shakti Peethas are devoted to Maa Shakti who is also known as Durga.
