Bhatta Fall Mussoorie

Bhatta Falls is Mussoorie's prime attraction and a famous picnic spot among travelers and locals. People extensively visit this waterfall throughout the year to enjoy the scenic view and partake in water activities. Bhatta Falls is roughly 11 km from the Library end of Mall Road. Due to the pristine environment, Bhatta Falls is considered one of the best waterfalls in Uttarakhand.

To reach the waterfall, you will have to hike for approximately 500 meters. However, adventure enthusiasts can trek up to the falls from the base. It is a beautiful place even for a family trip, as there are activities that even kids will love.

The water here plunges from 30 feet and forms a pool at the bottom. Although Bhatta Falls is regarded as the best tourist attraction of Mussoorie, it still is not commercialized. This keeps it as natural and beautiful as you would want it to be. The natural setting offers a peaceful time and a sense of wilderness in the hearts of the visitors.

A pond at the bottom is perfect for those who wish to enjoy bathing and swimming. There is a small children’s park at some distance where kids can enjoy their time. There are slopes and swings for kids, and there are a few small eateries on the outskirts to keep the visitors recharged.

Best time to visit Bhatta Falls

The best time to visit Bhatta Falls is during summers when the weather remains calm and pleasant to enjoy the water activities. The monsoon season is the next best time to visit here. Keep in mind that if you are here between April and June, there will be a good crowd all the time.

The attraction and children’s park are open between 8 am and 5 pm, so plan your trip accordingly because you would not want to miss any of it.

How to reach Bhatta Falls

If you are not an adventure enthusiast, you can take a cab covering 11 km through the road. But if you prefer trekking, you will have to walk for 6 km through a shortcut.

Also, you can enjoy the Bhatta Cable Car ride that connects Bhatta Village to Bhatta Falls. Enjoy the drone view of Doon Valley and a lot of other places.

Bhatta Falls Entry fees and other charges

There is no entry fee for Bhatta Falls, but you have to pay INR 150 for the cable car ride (if you take it) and the entry fee for the children’s park.
