Kozhikode Backwaters, Kerala

Kozhikode, previously known as Calicut, is an important and scenic town in North Kerala. Be at the Kozhikode backwaters to explore the un-spoilt greens, to hear the chirping of the water birds, and take a boat cruise to discover a spectacular water world. You can sail along the Kallai River and Canoli canal or languor on the Kozhikode beaches.

Once the capital of the powerful Zamorins, a prominent trade and commerce center and the land of the Malabar Mahotsavam, Kozhikode was the most important region of Malabar in earlier days.
