Main Ski Slopes of Auli

The slopes of Auli are considered amongst the best skiing place in the world. Skiers from all over the world visit the. There are four Ski slopes in Auli:

  • 8 No. Track (Blue) is 800 m long
  • Temple Track (Red) is for beginners and is 400 m in length

Best time to visit Auli

Auli is one such destination of India that can be visited all through the out, except the monsoon season. The summer months, from April to June and September to October, are extremely pleasant. The time is conducive for sightseeing and other activities. The views of the surroundings are wonderful.

How to reach Auli

By Air: The nearest airport to Auli is Jolly Grant Airport of Dehradun, which is 286 km away. This airport is very well-connected to important cities of India such as Delhi, through regular flights. From the airport, Auli is easily accessible through pre-paid taxis and cabs.

By Rail: The nearest railway station to Auli is Rishikesh railway station, located 246 km away from Auli on the National highway 58. Regular trains connect Rishikesh with major cities of India. From Rishikesh, Auli is connected through motorable roads. State-run private buses connect Auli to nearby destinations such as Rishkesh, Srinagar, Joshimath, Chamoli and Rudryaprayag.

By Road: A good network of motorable roads connect Auli to important destinations of the Uttarakhand state. Taxis and buses are the option to reach Auli from cities and towns like Pauri, Rishikesh, Karnaprayag, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Ukhimath, Srinagar etc. Auli is around 14 km from Joshimath on National Highway 58.

NOTE: From December to March, the road from Auli to Joshimath is closed to heavy snowfall. During the winter season, cable car ride is the only way to Auli from Joshimath. In winters, the last cable car leaves from Joshimath at 04:20 pm and in summers, the time is 05:30 pm.
